ChangingWoman Retreat

2nd - 5th May 2025
Margaret River

"To the wise woman, to the women experiencing menopause, menopause is a spiralling process over time. One that changes and shifts even as it courses through us, so we never know what to expect from day to day during the Change." Susun Weed

"The menopausal years offer a powerful initiation undertaken over a long period of time, and a rite of passgae on many different levels that involves both physical changes and spiritual challenges." Carolyn Hillyer

"There is much more to this midlife transformation than 'raging hormones'...menopause is an exciting developmental stage - one that, when participated in consciously, holds enormous promise for transforming and healing our bodies, minds and spirits at the deepest levels." Dr Christiane Northrup

Menopause is associated with so many changes in a woman's life - daily, monthly, and over many years - physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. At times it can feel very lonely. And sometimes all you want to be is alone. But as women, we can support each other to make the most of this transformative time by coming together and talking about our experiences, creating space for silence, and sharing our wisdom.

This retreat is for you if...

* You're struggling with symptoms associated with peri-menopause or Menopause
* You feel like crawling into a cave or running away to the circus
* You're tired of having to explain yourself to others
* You feel like you're alone with it all and maybe going crazy
* You just want it to be over
* You want to make the most of your Menopause journey
* You want to honour and embrace your wise woman years

This retreat will offer you...

* Dedicated space and time to focus on your own needs, desires and Soul yearnings
* Opportunities to share your experiences with other women
* Time to relax and restore in the healing balm of Nature
* Spiritual perspectives on the Rite of Passage we call Menopause
* A chance to meet women who can tell you that there IS Life beyond menopause
* An invitation to create your own ceremony and witness others

Retreat Venue:
The ChangingWoman Retreat will be held at Glenbrook Country Retreat just south of Margaret River. The retreat centre is located on a beautiful 180 acre property with bushland walk trails, lots of kangaroos and local birds. Our hosts, Cherie and Betty offer a warm, friendly, clean and comfortable retreat venue. Overnight accommodation is in single or shared bedrooms; and bathroom/toilet facilities are shared. The common area has a large fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge room. Large verandas and a tranquil courtyard create a private outdoor area for relaxation and gathering.

Meals:
As a way of keeping retreat costs down and adding to the camaraderie over the weekend, meals will be simple and made with shared contributions and preparation. Everyone will be asked to bring something to share for lunches and/or evening meals. Breakfasts will be a combination of BYO and food items provided. Teas, coffee and snacks will also be provided. Contributions will be coordinated closer to the retreat date when we know how many women and what dietary requirements we need to cater for.

Investment:
Retreat Fees will be confirmed by the end of January 2025. There will be a sliding scale of fees and payment is requested according to your means. If you can afford to contribute more, this will assist us to make the retreat available to women on lower incomes. A deposit of $100 is required to secure your place. Payment plans are encouraged and available by negotiation with Anne-Marie. If money is your only barrier to attending, please contact Anne-Marie and together we’ll do our best to make it possible for you to join the weekend.
